I fell in love with Japan when I visited in 2014. If I weren’t working for INPAC, I’d love to spend most of my time there. However, if I wasn’t working at INPAC, I’m sure my life would be mundane.
I love helping our clients pursue their goals. The only reason why I wouldn’t be at INPAC would be if I chose to retire. I’m a workaholic, though, so I know I’ll always work in some capacity.
The best advice I ever received was from a life coach who is now one of my great friends: “Life is like a wheel of balance — each spoke represents physical, spiritual, financial, family and community balance.”
Life can be busy. It’s so easy to get caught up on just one aspect of life and let the others suffer or fall short. Trying to create a balanced wheel in all areas of life can help make life more fulfilling. However, creating that balance is easier said than done.
Realizing that everyone is human helped the entire INPAC ohana become better planners because it’s not always about the numbers — it’s about our clients’ wheels and how we can make the most out of each spoke.
I got familiar with the concept of “being in business” while growing up in the family fish business on Kauai. Only now have I really come to understand the true meaning of being in a business that is worth being in. There is something so fulfilling about designing wealth plans that can help our clients enjoy every stage of life.
What I love most about INPAC is the small, close-knit family culture within the office. Everyone works well together, and we all know that each and every one of us has an impact on our clients’ lives.
I am passionate about having new experiences and constantly learning more about myself. Every year, I travel with my family to different places around the world to experience new cultures and cuisine.
I love helping people. As Zig Ziglar once said, “You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” It’s amazing to me that I get to help people pursue their financial goals, and along the way, I get to raise a family and build a spectacular life and network in Hawaii.
I would be retired. Actually, I was retired... and one day, I received a call from Troy, asking me if I wanted to work for INPAC's Kauai office. He said that all I would have to do was to answer the phones and transfer the calls to the appropriate person. The job ended up being much more than that. Today, I serve all the Kauai clients by assisting them in any way I can so that they can achieve their financial dreams.
I am grateful for many things in my life... family, friends, and health. But I am most grateful to be able to work and to have the opportunity to serve and give back to the people of Kauai. It's a place where I was born and raised.
We have a great team. We work closely together. We support one another. Together, we work hard for our clients to make a difference in their lives.
